Preparing for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 12 steps to take now

This week the Information Commissioner (ICO) issued a guide for UK businesses. It contains practical guidance on what to do now to prepare for the GDPR. Some of the steps, like explicit protection of children, are new for the UK but will familiar to any organisation operating in the US where COPPA has been in place since last century. Give it a quick read, then incorporate the recommendations into your plans:
